Founded by Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell and Gregg Kaminsky, the upcoming week-long cruise on the Norwegian Star will depart from Seattle, WA, on July 2 with ports-of-call to Juneau, AL; Skagway, AL; Ketchikan, AL and Victoria, BC. Kelli O'Donnell told Playbill.com that among the stars scheduled to entertain on the July 2-9 cruise are Gavin Creel, Audra McDonald, Kathy Griffin, Norm Lewis, Julia Murney, Nancy Opel, Joy Hermalyn, Ann Van Cleeve, Paul Castree, Jill Sobule, Liz Callaway as well as Tipping the Velvet and several comedians.
About the R Family founders: Emmy-winning talk-show host Rosie O'Donnell has appeared on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, Grease! and Seussical and in such films as "A League of Their Own" and "The Flintstones"; she also co-produced the Broadway musical Taboo and will become one of the co-hosts of "The View" this fall. A former Nickelodeon marketing executive, Kelli O'Donnell's responsibilities for that network included developing promotions and marketing materials targeted to children. The O'Donnells have four young children. A long-time worker in the gay and lesbian travel industry, Gregg Kaminsky has developed and produced all-gay trips throughout the world. He and partner Dan were featured on Bravo's "Gay Weddings" documentary series.
