As previously announced, the cruise will boast performances by a wide array of singing actors and/or comics, including Rosie O'Donnell, Lauper, Sam Harris, Seth Rudetsky, Kevin Chamberlin, Shoshana Bean, Marya Grandy, Anne Steele, Brian Nash, Jessica Kirson, Ant, Ross the Intern and Julie Goldman.
Gregg Kaminsky, who co-founded R Family Vacations with Rosie and Kelli O'Donnell, told Playbill.com Feb. 22 that several additional performers will also entertain on the cruise: Gavin Creel, Julia Murney, Tracy Lynn, Matt Zarley, Kate Pazakis, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, James Wesley, Jimmy Smagula, Jesse Vargas, Colin Sheehan as well as the cast of LOGO's "The Big Gay Sketch Show," DJ David Knapp and fitness guru Susan Powter.
Choreographers for the various shows are Michael Lee Scott and Tammy Collucci.
The itinerary for the upcoming cruise follows: depart from San Diego (March 15), day at sea (March 16), Cabo San Lucas (March 17), Mazatlan (March 18), Puerto Vallarta (March 19), day at sea (March 20), day at sea (March 21) and San Diego (March 22).
The cruise will take place aboard the Holland America Oosterdam, which features a Broadway-size theatre and deluxe accommodations. The Oosterdam also boasts a piano bar, casino, fitness center, disco, an indoor and outdoor pool, spa and an internet cafe. Emmy-winning talk-show host Rosie O'Donnell has appeared on Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof, Grease! and Seussical and in such films as "A League of Their Own" and "The Flintstones"; she also co-produced the Broadway musical Taboo and spent a year as a co-host of "The View." A former Nickelodeon marketing executive, Kelli O'Donnell's responsibilities for that network included developing promotions and marketing materials targeted to children. The O'Donnells have four young children. A long-time worker in the gay and lesbian travel industry, Gregg Kaminsky has developed and produced all-gay trips throughout the world. He and partner Dan were featured on Bravo's "Gay Weddings" documentary series.
