News Critic Symposium Will Feature Writers from Time Out, Bloomberg, Chicago Tribune, Newsday and New York Times Gingold Theatrical Group, which is currently represented Off-Broadway with You Never Can Tell, a co-production with The Pearl Theatre Company, will offer A Critic Symposium Oct. 7 at 2 PM at The Pearl.

Jeffrey Eric Jenkins will moderate a panel that will include David Cote (Time Out New York), Jeremy Gerard (Bloomberg), Chris Jones (Chicago Tribune), Helen Shaw (Time Out New York), Linda Winer (Newsday) and Jason Zinoman (New York Times). "Before becoming a playwright, George Bernard Shaw began his life in the arts as a music and theatrical critic, attempting to redefine the role of the critic as a contributive element in the create arts," according to press notes. "In this spirit, GTG has invited six major arts critics to discuss the future of their ever-changing field. 'Are critics necessary?'"
