News Cromer and Our Town Cast Will Celebrate Thornton Wilder at April 17 Bookstore Reading A. Tappan Wilder, nephew and literary executor of the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Thornton Wilder, will join Obie Award winner David Cromer and cast members of the Off-Broadway production of Our Town April 17 at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Center for a reading of the author's work.

The 4 PM gathering celebrates the playwright's 112th birthday. Barnes & Noble Lincoln Square is located at 1972 Broadway at 66th Street. Wilder, Cromer and cast members will read selected letters written by Wilder and scenes from Our Town followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Director Cromer's critically acclaimed staging of Our Town is now on stage at The Barrow Street Theater (27 Barrow Street) in Greenwich Village. The director also plays the lead role of the Stage Manager. Our Town began performances Feb. 17 and opened to rave reviews on Feb. 26 at the downtown venue whose space has been completely redesigned for this production.

Thornton Wilder's work also includes The Skin of Our Teeth, The Matchmaker, short plays and novels.
