Directed and choreographed by Guy Stroman, the company will feature Chris Crouch as Sparky, J.D. Daw as Jinx, Adam Halpin as Frankie and Kevin Vortmann as Smudge. Sean Hopkins is the production swing. Forever Plaid, according to press notes, will take audiences on a "trip to Fiftiesville with Sparky, Jinx, Smudge and Frankie, a fictional 1950's boy band. Tragically, and inconveniently struck down before their first big gig, 'The Plaids' will be brought back to earth to take the stage one last time." Opening night is Sept. 20.

In a statement North Shore artistic director and executive producer Jon Kimbell said, "Forever Plaid is a musical for all ages to enjoy and experience together. For many people the music will evoke fond memories of the 1950's and for others it will be like discovering this musical genre for the very first time. And who better to present this celebration of the 1950's than director and choreographer Guy Stroman, an original member of The Plaids. We are thrilled to welcome him to NSMT!"

The creative team will also include Eugene Gwozdz (musical director), Andrew Ostrowski (lighting designer), Joanna E. Murphy (costume designer), Howard C. Jones (scenic designer), John A. Stone (sound designer), Gerard Kelly (wig designer), Alison Franck (casting director), Bethany Ford (production stage manager) and Alicia D. Reece (stage manager).

Tickets, priced $35-$70, are available by calling (978) 232-7200 or by visiting www.nsmt.org. The North Shore Music Theatre is located at 62 Dunham Road in Beverly, MA.
