Cruel Intentions: The Musical is set to return to (Le) Poisson Rouge in New York City this fall, this time for a two-and-a-half month run. The show played a sold-out, pop-up engagement at the cabaret venue earlier this year following two hit productions in Los Angeles.

The musical will begin performances November 17 ahead of a December 11 opening, and is scheduled to play through January 29, 2018.

Producers have not yet announced whether the show’s previous New York cast—which included Jennifer Damiano (American Psycho, Next to Normal) as Kathryn, Constantine Rousouli (Wicked, Ghost) as Sebastian, and Natalie Hall (True Blood, All My Children) as Annette—will return to (Le) Poisson Rouge. Casting will be announced at a later date.

Adapted from Roger Kumble’s 1999 thriller of the same name, Cruel Intentions: The Musical is created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble, and features 90s hits as well as songs from the cult film’s soundtrack. The show features immersive stage direction by Rosin, choreography by Jennifer Weber, and music direction and arrangements by Zach Spound.

Cruel Intentions follows two privileged step siblings who play the ultimate game of seduction and revenge at an elite Manhattan school. The story is based on the 1782 French novel by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, Les Liaisons Dangereuses.

Cruel Intentions: The Musical is produced by Eva Price and Sucker Love Productions. The show debuted at The Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles in 2015, where it ran for 38 sold-out performances, before transferring to L.A.’s Prospect Theatre, where it sold out again, in November 2016. The 2017 pop-up engagement at (Le) Poisson Rouge marked the show’s New York premiere.
