Douglas C. Evans,CEO and executive director of The Bushnell in Hartford, CT, will leave his job June 30 to become the new managing director of The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. He steps down at The Bushnell, the major touring house in Hartford, in June but will continue to direct special projects, including assignments related to fundraising and programming, to Dec. 31, 2000.
He moves to one of the country's most-respected nonprofit regional theatres, where 12 productions per year are staged in three venues. A search for Evans' successor at The Bushnell is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
