Repertorio Espanol unveils the world premiere of Cuban playwright Abelardo Estorino's El Baile (The Dance) Nov. 11 at the Gramercy Arts Theatre in New York City.

The play explores the conflicts and isolation of a contemporary Cuban family as seen through the eyes of an old woman who lives in Cuba. When her sister dies, she finds herself alone and her family in exile. She relives her past as she tries to contact her remote relatives.

Cuban actress Adria Santana and Repertorio's Ricardo Barber star. Estorino directs his own work, which continues in repertory through Dec. 19.

Santana is a leading actress in her country, and has appeared on stage throughout Latin America, Europe and the United States.Performances are in Spanish with simultaneous English translation.
