Latino comedy trio Culture Clash will leave a lasting impression of their hit Miami expose Radio Mambo when they perform the piece for the L.A. Theatre Works radio series March 28-April 1.
In Radio Mambo, Culture Clash - Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza - interviewed some 70 Miami residents over the course of three months. From a cross section of peoples, they learned about Hurricane Andrew, urban renewal, immigration and where to get a great plate of arroz con pollo served by six-foot drag queen.
Culture Clash was recently up in San Francisco telling the story of their home neighborhood in Mission Magic Mystery Tour. Other projects include A Bowl of Beings, Culture Clash in Bordertown, Nuyorican Stories and two upcoming commissioned pieces for the Arena Stage and the Mark Taper Forum.
