News Culture Project Launches Dirty Immigrant Collective Comedy Series Oct. 5 Iranian-American comedian Negin Farsad will host a weekly Friday-night comedy series at the Culture Project beginning Oct. 5.

The weekly event, entitled Dirty Immigrant Collective, will take place Fridays at 10 PM featuring Farsad and fellow comedians Desiree Lea Burch, Katie Halper and Rebecca Donohue. The series is presented as part of the Culture Project's expanded Women Center Stage, the summer festival that features theatre, film, comedy and music. Past participants have included Eve Ensler, Marisa Tomei, Olivia Wilde, Samantha Power and Julie Goldman.

Farsad currently produces, directs and appears in the Comedy Central series "The Watch List," marking the first mainstream network pilot featuring a Middle Eastern-American cast. She has performed at the Laugh Factory, Town Hall, The Comedy Store and is an active comedian and producer for the sketch comedy groups "Madame Funnypants" and "Three Jews and a Persian."
