Actors' Equity may wish to cite Cupid for working overtime backstage on Broadway.

Four members of the cast of the previewing musical High Society announced engagements this week -- just in time for the show's first preview, Mar. 31 -- including leading lady Melissa Errico, who will wed tennis player Patrick McEnroe.

The announcement comes just a month before the May 3 wedding of Jekyll & Hyde star Linda Eder to the show's composer Frank Wildhorn, and in the same week that Diary of Anne Frank actress Rachel Miner announced her betrothal to film star Macaulay Culkin.

The Errico annoucement was PR heaven, considering that the High Society star plays Tracy Lord, one of the most famously indecisive brides-to-be in popular literature. The Cole Porter stage adaptation opens April 27.

Also at the same show: Marc Kudisch, who plays Errico's stage fiance, is engaged to Broadway actress Kristin Chenoweth (Encores!'s Strike Up the Band and the upcoming New Brain). Chorus member Betsy Joslyn (A Doll's Life)) will marry 1776 conductor Mark Mitchell. Another High Society ensemble member, Dorothy Stanley, has gotten engaged to the show's production carpenter, Reginald Vessey. -- By Robert Viagas
