PlayBlog "Curtain Up!" Goes Behind the Scenes of Broadway's Sister Act (Video) "Curtain Up!" continues its Broadway week series with a backstage visit with the stars of Broadway's Sister Act. Here, PIX 11 visits the Broadway Theatre, where the stars of the Tony Award-nominated musical "raise their voice" every night in the heart of New York City.

"Curtain Up!" chatted with the show's stars, including Patina Miller, who was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Deloris Van Cartier, and Chester Gregory, who plays Eddie.

In the Broadway week "Curtain Up!" series, PIX11 visits Broadway's best for a glimpse of what goes on behind-the-scenes before the curtain rises at 8 PM. "Curtain Up!" recently visited the Palace to check out the action at Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the August Wilson to chat with the Jersey Boys and the St. James to hang out with the hippies of Hair.

According to producers, "When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier (Miller) witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place cops are sure she won't be found - a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and an uptight Mother Superior (Victoria Clark). Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community, but in doing so blows her cover. Soon the gang are giving chase, only to find themselves up against Deloris and the power of her new found Sister Hood."
