Danieley will offer his acclaimed cabaret act, Love: A Work in Progress, at 7 PM as part of the Broadway at Birdland series. The singing actor will perform standards as well as blues, country, folk and show tunes all "with a back-porch sound." He will be accompanied by Dan Lipton (piano), Christian Hebel (fiddle), Mark Vanderpoel (bass), Michael Aarons (guitar/banjo/mandolin), Damien Bassman (percussion) and Theresa McCarthy (backing vocals). Danieley will also join the band on tenor guitar.
Jason Danieley played Dr. Rey in the Signature Theatre's production of The Highest Yellow. He starred on Broadway as Malcolm MacGregor in The Full Monty, a role he repeated in London. For his Broadway debut in Candide, Danieley received a Theatre World Award and a Drama Desk nomination. His other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Strike Up the Band as well as Off-Broadway runs in Dream True and Floyd Collins. Danieley is married to Broadway actress Marin Mazzie.
