Further details have been announced for the 2016 Olivier Awards ceremony, which this year marks its 40th anniversary, at the Royal Opera House April 3.
Cyndi Lauper — composer of the Olivier-nominated Kinky Boots — is to perform both solo and with the London company of Kinky Boots, when it features alongside the other seven nominees for Best New Musical (Bend It Like Beckham, In the Heights and Mrs Henderson Presents) and Best Musical Revival (Bugsy Malone, Guys and Dolls, Gypsy and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers) as part of the evening's entertainment.
Also appearing will be Michael Feinstein, joining a variety of past winners in a special 40th anniversary segment.
Among the presenters that will feature are Game of Thrones star Kit Harington (about to open in Dr Faustus), Glee's Amber Riley (starring in the West End premiere of Dreamgirls later in the year) and Downton Abbey's Laura Carmichael, Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba and Zawe Ashton, the trio currently starring in The Maids at the West End's Trafalgar Studios.
Other presenters, all of whom are past Olivier Award winners, will include Matthew Bourne, Sharon D. Clarke, Paul Copley, Daniel Evans, Julia McKenzie, Lesley Manville, Vanessa Redgrave, Juliet Stevenson, Zoë Wanamaker and Leigh Zimmerman.
The awards are being hosted by double Olivier Award-winning Michael Ball.
