Directed by Jessica Redish, the 8 PM reading will boast the talents of playwright Shemin's wife, Avenue Q Tony nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo, as well as Fred Applegate (Young Frankenstein), Tom Mizer (Triangle), Sandy Rustin (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change), Tom Galantich (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Stephen Ruddy (Gravid Water). Panophobia, according to press notes, "follows Richard Watson, a well-intentioned philanthropist, who after making billions manufacturing computer hard drives, decides to use his fortune to find a cure for human fear. Watson's radical plan is met by criticism. His company and his marriage are threatened and his friendships are put in jeopardy. Yet Watson persists, welcoming the architect of his campaign to stamp out fear – a brilliant, yet seemingly deranged fear expert who himself is afraid of most everything.  But when a terrorist scare targets Watson's enterprises, the true nature of fear is revealed."

Reservations can be made for the reading, priced $10, by visiting www.nuea.org.
