Regional News Dael Orlandersmith Will Perform Her Until the Flood in Milwaukee Repertory's 2017–2018 Season The upcoming season will feature 13 productions.

Initial casting and directors have been announced for Milwaukee Repertory Theater’s 2017–2018 season.

The forthcoming season, which launches in September with Souvenir, comprises classics, award-winning contemporary works, and full-scale musicals spanning 13 productions in four theatres.

Current information about the productions follows:

Souvenir
Jack Forbes Wilson, last seen at The Rep in Liberace!, will play Cosme in Souvenir, directed by Milwaukee native Laura Braza (Grounded) in the Stackner Cabaret, September 8–November 5.

Guys and Dolls
Milwaukee favorite Kelley Faulkner will play Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, directed by Artistic Director Mark Clements in the Quadracci Powerhouse, September 19–October 29.

Murder for Two
Co-creator and Milwaukee native Joe Kinosian will star in Murder for Two, directed by JC Clementz (I Love a Piano) in the Stackner Cabaret November 10, 2017–January 14, 2018.

Holmes and Watson
Mark Corkins (True West, The Cherry Orchard), Grant Goodman (Clybourne Park), Maggie Kettering (Peninsula Player’s Miss Holmes), Norman Moses (La Cage aux Folles), and Rex Young (Oregon Shakespeare Festival) are a part of the Holmes and Watson cast, directed by Joseph Hanreddy, former artistic director, in the Quadracci Powerhouse, November 14–December 17.

A Christmas Carol
Jonathan Wainwright returns as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol along with Reese Madigan as Mr. Cratchit, Rana Roman as Mrs. Cratchit, and Deborah Staples as Ghost of Christmas Past. Directed by Mark Clements, A Christmas Carol plays the Pabst Theater November 28–December 24.

Animal Farm and The Who & The What
Rep Associate Artists Jonathan Gillard Daly (Harvey) and Deborah Staples (The Amish Project) will perform in Animal Farm, directed by Associate Artistic Director May Adrales in the Quadracci Powerhouse January 9–February 11, 2018. Adrales is also directing The Who & The What by Rep Associate Artist and Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar in the Stiemke Studio September 27–November 5.

Black Pearl Sings!
Director Leda Hoffmann reunites with Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill musical director Abdul Hamid Royal for Black Pearl Sings! in the Stackner Cabaret, January 19–March 18, 2018.

One House Over
Mark Clements directs Catherine Trieschmann’s world premiere, One House Over, in the Quadracci Powerhouse February 27–March 25.

Until The Flood
Creator Dael Orlandersmith (Yellowman) will perform Until the Flood, directed by Neel Keller, in the Stiemke Studio March 13–April 22, 2018.

Mark Twain’s River of Song
David Lutken and co-creator Dan Wheetman reunite after Back Home Again: On The Road With John Denver to perform in the world premiere of Mark Twain’s River of Song, directed by co-creator Randal Myler, in the Stackner Cabaret March 23–May 20, 2018.

Our Town
Rep Associate Artist Laura Gordon (Good People) will play the Stage Manager in Our Town alongside Chiké Johnson (Of Mice and Men), James Pickering (The Foreigner), Matt Zambrano (The Foreigner), and Elizabeth Ledo (Pride & Prejudice). Associate Artistic Director Brent Hazelton (McGuire) directs in the Quadracci Powerhouse, April 10–May 13, 2018.

The 13th production is Rep Lab, a short–play festival featuring Milwaukee Rep's Emerging Professional Residents in the Stiemke Studio February 15-19, 2018.
