Sophie Dahl, Miriam Margolyes and Sian Phillips will be the first cast of The Vagina Monologues at the Arts Theatre, which opens Oct. 23. This cast will perform for the first four weeks until Nov. 17.
Sophie Dahl will be making her West End stage debut. Miriam Margolyes briefly returns to the London stage before filming the second Harry Potter movie, and Sian Phillips has just finished starring in a season of Divas at The Donmar.
Arriving Nov. 19 are Nina Wadia, Lauren Ward (1776) and Elizabeth McGovern ("Ragtime").
The Vagina Monologues closed at The New Ambassadors Sept. 22, this year after a star-studded fourth-month run, where the cast included Eve Ensler, Meera Syal, Dannii Minogue, Maureen Lipman, Mariella Frostrup, Jenny Eclair and Jerry Hall.
