SEATTLE-- Zany and eerie are two words that come to mind to describe performer Mike Daisey, whose two one-man show Wasting Your Breath and I Miss The Cold War are being presented by 24/7 productions, a new company, at Odd Duck Studios, opening May 28.

Wasting Your Breath is a story that jumps back and forth between two autobiographical storylines: a crumbling relationship with a pregnant girlfriend and a cross-country exodus from New England.

I Miss The Cold War is Daisey’s story of a son’s obsession to write a play for his father. The two plays run in repertory with Breath on Thus. and Sat. evenings at 8 PM and War on Fri. and Sun. evenings at 8 PM.

In addition, 24/7’s late-night sketch-comedy group Up In Your Grill performs every Fri. and Sat. at 11 PM during the run.

Odd Duck Studio is located at 1214 10th Ave. on Capitol Hill. For tickets ($10) call (206) 215-1435. --David-Edward Hughes
