Jean-Michele Gregory directs the Public Theater engagement that officially opens Oct. 27 and continues through Nov. 30 at the Public Theater's intimate cabaret space. In his latest work, press notes state, "Daisey investigates the secret history of the Department of Homeland Security through the untold story of the father of the neutron bomb and a personal pilgrimage to the Trinity blast site. If You See Something Say Something takes us on a journey in search of what it means to be secure and the price we are willing to pay for it."

"Mike Daisey is funny, earnest, wonderful company and so smart he'd burn holes in the ground if he wasn't wearing shoes," Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis said in a statement. "If You See Something Say Something is a remarkable analysis of the state of our nation, and Mike Daisey is the kind of theatre artist who ennobles our profession."

Mike Daisey's monologues include How Theater Failed America, Invincible Summer, Monopoly!, Great Men of Genius, The Ugly American, I Miss the Cold War, Wasting Your Breath and Stories From the Atlantic Night Cafe. His first film, "Layover," is being distributed by Lars von Trier's Zentropa, and he stars in the Lawrence Krauser feature "Horrible Child." His first work as a playwright, The Moon Is a Dead World, will be produced by Seattle's Annex Theatre this season. The work was presented in a developmental reading by Soho Rep's Writer/Director Lab in spring 2008.
