The evening will begin at 5 PM with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and remarks at 6:30 PM with the cabaret performance at 7:30 PM. The latter will feature artists who have graced the stage of the New Jersey theatre during Saint's tenure.
Performers will include Tony Award winners Tyne Daly and John Lloyd Young as well as Suzzanne Douglas and Stephen Pasquale. Speakers will include writer, comedienne and actress Anne Meara; actor and comedian Jerry Stiller; writer, comedienne and actress Elaine May; actor Jack Klugman; playwright and director Arthur Laurents; former governor Thomas K. Kean; New Jersey Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells; George Street Playhouse board chairman George Wolansky; George Street Playhouse managing director Todd Schmidt; New Brunswick City Council vice chairwoman Elizabeth S. Garlatti; and artistic director Saint.
The evening will also feature the presentation of the Thomas H. Kean Arts Advocacy Award to Ralph W. Voorhees in remembrance of Barbara Voorhees. Former Governor Kean will present the award.
