News Damn Yankees, Starring Dale Hensley, Begins at TriArts Sharon Playhouse Aug. 14 Damn Yankees, starring Dale Hensley, Jarrad Green and Jane Kivnick, begins performances Aug. 14 at the TriArts Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, CT.

Directed by John Simpkins (The Black Suits) with choreography by M.K. Lawson and music direction by Eric Kang, Damn Yankees will run through Aug. 25.

The audience favorite has a book by original director George Abbott and Douglas Wallop, with music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The Faustian musical was adapted from Wallop's 1954 novel "The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant."

The cast features Hensley (La Cage aux Folles, The Drowsy Chaperone) as Applegate, with Green as Joe Hardy, Kivnick as Lola, John Champion as Joe Boyd, Audrey Heffernan Meyer as Meg Boyd, Maria Malanga as Gloria Thorpe, David Fanning as Van Buren, Duane Estes as Mr. Welch, Dave Cadwell as Commissioner, Emily Soell as Sister, Francine Ciccarelli as Doris and Casey Grambo as Miss Weston.

The ensemble comprises Philip Colgan, Dan Coombs, Ryan Curley, Kenny Francoeur, Garrett Hill, Emily Neuberger, Jake Satterfield, George Slotin, Madeleine Sykes, Eric Brian Waters, Kaylee Verble, Chloe Chinn, Abigail Iris Creech, Sam Everett, Serafina Fauci, Tessa Fountain, Skyler Fountain, Zachary Goldsmith, Anna Goldstein, Peter Kiewra, Sarah Meili, Elizabeth Schwartz, Elijah Stone, Maggie Turoff and Dana Wilton.
