Dance Upon Nothing, the hit serial killer black comedy, gets a second extension at Los Angeles' Blue Alliance Theatre, now playing through Nov. 8. Anthony Barnao directs the Greg Suddeth play, originally set to close back on Sept. 26.
All Bo Jo really wanted to do was meet women by being a rock and roll drummer. Instead, the mental and physical abuse from his cruel father turned him in a different direction — now whenever he meets a woman he likes, he kills her. Having finally realized that killing is wrong, but still afraid of the law's punishment, Bo Jo devises a way to stop his compulsion and cheat the police of their retribution.
Besides Dance Upon Nothing, Greg Suddeth is the author of Being of Sound Mind, End of the Watch, Toe To Toe and Very Cherry and Extra Clean.
Starring in Dance Upon Nothing are Jason Waters, Andy Hirsh, Kurt Caceres (PBS' "American Family"), Kevin Fabian and Julie Shimer.
Tickets are $12. The Blue Sphere Alliance at the Lex is located at 6760 Lexington Avenue in Hollywood. For reservations, call (323) 957-5782. — By Christine Ehren
