News Dance with the Altar Boyz for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS The company of the new Off-Broadway hit musical Altar Boyz is offering a unique way to raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

On April 23, Altar Boyz choreographer Christopher Gattelli will teach a dance workshop at the Broadway Dance Center. The 12 PM afternoon will feature Gattelli teaching the choreography for "Rhythm in Me!," and the cast of Altar Boyz will dance along with Boyz wannabes.

Christopher Gattelli received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for his Altar Boyz choreography. His other credits include Bat Boy: The Musical! (Lortel Award for Outstanding Choreography), tick, tick . . . BOOM!, Godspell and Grease. Gattelli also directed and choreographed the recent all-star concert of Hair.

All proceeds from the class, priced at $50, will benefit BC/EFA. To reserve a place, e-mail Daniel Toress, [email protected]. The Broadway Dance Center is located at 221 West 57th Street, between Broadway and Seventh Avenue, on the Fifth Floor.
