Clive Cholerton directs what Caldwell calls "a complex love story set against the backdrop of the gathering Nazi storm" and "laced with lust, conspiracies and diabolical revenge." First staged at Caldwell's 2008 Play Reading Series, the play was cheered by audiences and is being billed as a sort of deconstruction of the sex-and-power tale of pre-Revolution France, "Les Liaisons Dangereuses." Multiple award-winning playwright McKeever's farce Suite Surrender world-premiered at Caldwell last season. The new play contains adult content and nudity. Opening is Feb. 27. Performances play to March 29.
