Broadway News Daniel Breaker Joins Broadway’s Hamilton August 29 The Tony nominee assumes the role of Aaron Burr, reprising his performance from the Chicago production.

Daniel Breaker begins performances as Aaron Burr in the Broadway production of Hamilton beginning August 29. He succeeds fellow Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, who took his final bow August 13 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Breaker concluded his run as Burr in the Chicago engagement of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony- and Pulitzer-winning musical August 20. Gregory Treco will assume the role in the Windy City beginning September 8.

A Tony nominee for Passing Strange, Breaker last appeared on Broadway in The Book of Mormon. His additional credits include The Performers, Shrek, Cymbeline, and Well.

Dixon can now be seen in Signature Theatre Company’s Fucking A as part of its Off-Broadway presentation of Suzan-Lori Parks’ The Red Letter Plays.

The current Broadway cast of Hamilton also includes Javier Muñoz as Alexander Hamilton, Lexi Lawson as Eliza Hamilton, Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart as Thomas Jefferson and Marquis de Lafayette, Tony nominee Euan Morton as King George, Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler, Alysha Deslorieux as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds, Bryan Terrell Clark as George Washington, J. Quinton Johnson as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, and Anthony Lee Medina as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton.
