Daniel Radcliffe will appear in an undisclosed role in the upcoming interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special, due in 2020 on Netflix.

The new Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt installment will see the happy-go-lucky titular character set off on an adventure that viewers will be able to direct, resulting in multiple viewing experiences. Depending on what they choose, views may encounter a dancing hamburger, a wedding, or robot battles. Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, and Carol Kane will all return to play their beloved characters.

Radcliffe's casting is likely no coincidence. The most recent (and final) season of the Netflix series was inspired by J.K. Rowling's own career as a writer, according to series co-creator Tina Fey in a Hollywood Reporter article. Rowling is the author of the Harry Potter series in which Radcliffe played the titular role on screen.

Jon Hamm, who plays Kimmy Schmidt's kidnapper Rev. Dr. Richard Wayne Gary Wayne, will also make an appearance in the special. Hamm and Radcliffe appeared in A Young Doctor's Notebook together, a TV series set during the Russian Revolution.
