News Daniels, Dennehy, Schreiber and Spacey Discuss "Working in the Theatre" May 20 The acclaimed "Working in the Theatre" series presented by the American Theatre Wing continues May 20.

CUNY-TV will broadcast the chat with leading men Jeff Daniels, Brian Dennehy, Liev Schreiber and Kevin Spacey at 5 PM ET. Additional broadcasts are scheduled for May 25 at 2 and 7:30 PM, May 26 at 11 AM and May 27 at 5 PM. The program will also be available as streaming audio and podcast beginning May 22 at www.americantheatrewing.org.

The actors will discuss several topics during the "Working in the Theatre" program, including "whether they prefer rehearsal to performance, their experience in long runs and how great plays can carry actors along, the acting opportunities of appearing in many plays by the same author, how they find new challenges, whether they can still enjoy theatre as a member of the audience, and if its harder to do their work now that they’re well-known."

All four actors are currently back on the New York stage: Jeff Daniels in Blackbird, Brian Dennehy in Inherit the Wind, Liev Schreiber in Talk Radio and Kevin Spacey in A Moon for the Misbegotten. Schreiber was just Tony-nominated for his performance.

CUNY-TV is a cable channel that serves the five boroughs of New York City.

The American Theatre Wing is the creator of the Tony Awards, which it presents annually with the League of American Theatres and Producers. Sondra Gilman is chairman of the Board of the Wing; Doug Leeds is president of the Board and Howard Sherman is executive director.
