Schott Management will present an industry reading of Rachel Garnet's Starcrossed February 18 in Manhattan.

The three-person cast includes Ryan Spahn (Daniel's Husband, Summer and Smoke) as The Player, Connor Delves (Daniel's Husband, Endangered! The Musical) as Mercutio, and Eric Bermudez (Even If It Gets Us Nowhere, Sweet Pea) as Tybalt.

Michael Hernandez-Phillips, who helmed Bomber’s Moon for 7 Ages Artist Collective, will direct.

In Garnet's play, Romeo and Juliet’s Tybalt and Mercutio now fill the roles of the star-crossed lovers born to be enemies. Constructed around Shakespeare's original dialogue and expanded into a love story, the two characters get new life in a world where their sexuality has no voice or champion.
