Performances will play Oct. 13-Nov. 13 at the Fredericia Theater, two hours outside of Copenhagen. Artistic and managing director Soren Moller said in a statement, "I am so looking forward to having these brilliant people over to help me spread the hilariously funny word of what musical theatre can also be."

Avenue Q, a comic musical by librettist Jeff Whitty and songwriters Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez, mixes actors and puppets to tell the cynical-sweet story of a recent college graduate seeking his purpose and getting involved with the other young dreamers of run-down Avenue Q in New York City. The show won the Best Musical Tony Award in the same season that Wicked made its premiere.

The translation of one print ad for the production is "The Furriest Musical in the State of Denmark."

With The Danish Academy of Musical Theatre's New Works Development Centre and the Fredericia Theater in town, Fredericia is a hospitable place for innovative and new musical theatre.

Producer Moller has attracted such musical theatre artists as Victoria Clark, Stephen Schwartz, Andrew Lippa, Jason Robert Brown, Judy Kuhn, Susan Schulman, Marcia Milgrom Dodge, John Bucchino, Michael John LaChiusa and others to town. The Danish Avenue Q will include expanded animation. The upper level of the stage "is going to be completely animated." The theatre has a large backdrop that is hi-resolution LED.

Bussert has directed for Manhattan Theatre Club (The Gig), the York Theatre (Dust and Dreams) and the National Alliance for Musical Theatre (The Break Up Notebook: The Lesbian Musical, Factory Girls and Lizzie Borden). Her work has been seen at many regional theatres including Goodspeed Opera, Repertory Theatre of St Louis, Dallas Theatre Center, Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Cincinnati Playhouse. She serves as resident director for Great Lakes Theatre and is the director of music theatre for Baldwin-Wallace College.

Bruno is an actor and choreographer who appeared in the regional premiere of [title of show] (working with Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen) and in ...Spelling Bee at Florida's Riverside Theatre. He recently choreographed The Producers in Ivoryton, CT.
