The Eponymous Theatre is presenting a new work by David Dannenfelser, When Words Fail..., which began performances at The John Houseman Studio Theatre Oct. 7. Opening night for Words is Oct. 10 at 7 PM.

Directed by Kevin Kittle, Words first ran in a brief sold-out engagement at the New York International Fringe Festival. Production sources describe the show as "a lyrical fantasy exploring love, art, perception, technology, and pop culture." Words depicts the lives of Dan and Sarah, he being a lost soul struggling to keep up with technology while Sarah is a simple woman searching for meaning in the ordinary. Neither sense a darker world that brings them together and may be controlling the events that shape their lives.

David Dannenfelser is a founder and artistic director of The Random Purpose Theatre Company, and has written and directed The On Being Series, Sid Berkeley Radio Slave, The Keeper and a children¹s play, The Boy Who Lost His Sock. His collection of one acts about NYC, In Five Boroughs, was presented earlier this year by Expanded Arts.

Kevin Kittle was assistant director to Joseph Chaikin at the Signature Theatre Company for Arthur Miller¹s The Last Yankee and I Can¹t Remember Anything and for Sam Shepard¹s When the World Was Green (A Chef¹s Fable).

The cast for Words features Marco Jo Clate, Jackie Kamm, Danielle Liccardo, Christy Marie Moore, Michael Puzzo, Rhett Rossi, Mala Santouri and Mike Sears. Lighting was designed by Jim Hultquist and costumes were designed by Virginia Gifford.

Words is presented at the John Houseman Studio Theatre, 450 West 42 Street (between Ninth and Tenth Avenues). The show runs Oct. 7-24, Tue.-Sat. at 8 PM and Sun. at 7 PM. Tickets for all performances are $12, and TDF vouchers are accepted. For reservations and information call (212) 358-3430.
