"Wild Women, Divas and Broads" from the worlds of musical theatre, cabaret and opera have booked into downtown Manhattan's Joe's Pub this May. Among the women to be featured are Daphne Rubin-Vega, Liz Callaway, Idina Menzel and Tonya Pinkins.
The series continues on May 10 with Rubin-Vega, the former Rent star currently appearing in The Rocky Horror Show on Broadway. She will perform a collection of rock songs intended for her never-released album "Souvenirs" (the label, Mercury Records, went out of business). Rubin-Vega will perform on May 17 as well.
Joe's Pub is located at 425 Lafayette Street (between East 4th Street and Astor Place). For information on these and other winter attractions, call (212) 239-6200.
