Broadway and Off-Broadway actor Darius de Haas will sing the songs of Billy Strayhorn on March 22 as part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series. Two shows are slated for 8 PM and 10 PM. A familiar face on the New York stage, de Haas recently appeared in The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin at Playwrights Horizons. He starred opposite Audra McDonald in Marie Christine at Lincoln Center Theater, and first made his mark as the title character in the Off Broadway musical Running Man. De Haas will be featured on Ricky Ian Gordon's CD, "Bright Eyed Joy" (Nonesuch) and is scheduled to sing with Kirsten Childs at Joe's Pub on April 30.
