Darragh, who appeared on Broadway in Our Town and in the Off-Broadway revival of Crimes of the Heart, will portray Tom Wingfield, with Keeley (The Thugs) cast as his fragile sister, Laura Wingfield.
They join a cast led by Tony-winning actress Judith Ivey as overbearing family matriarch Amanda Wingfield and Josh Charles as the Gentleman Caller. Artistic director Gordon Edelstein directs Menagerie, which begins performances in New Haven May 13 and continues through June 7.
Williams' 1945 memory play, according to Long Wharf, centers on "Laura, a timid girl living in a world of delicate cut glass animals, [who] has her quiet life shattered when her mother, Amanda, encourages a meeting with a gentleman caller."
