The original Broadway cast recording of Amélie, A New Musical, which begins previews March 9 prior to an official opening April 3 at the Walter Kerr Theatre, will be released by a new imprint of the Warner Music Group.
With a book by Tony Award nominee Craig Lucas, music by Daniel Messé and lyrics by Nathan Tysen and Messé, Amélie is directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon, with musical staging and choreography by Sam Pinkleton and music direction by Kimberly Grigsby.
Michael Croiter will serve as executive producer of the cast recording; Messé and Gary Maurer serve as producers, and Tysen serves as associate producer.
Soo stars as the titular young Parisian dreamer who improvises covert random acts of kindness for strangers. The cast also includes Adam Chanler-Berat, Tony Sheldon, Manoel Felciano, and Harriet D. Foy.
