David Rockwell hosts the evening, which also boasts a special guest performance by Dave Matthews.

The evening benefits the New York City Blue School. The pre-K and early elementary lab school currently located on the Lower East Side is building a permanent home near the South Street Seaport. Proceeds will support construction of the Blue School’s new home and help to share its "innovative curriculum and teacher training strategies with schools and educators across the country and around the world," according to press notes.

In a statement Blue Man Group/Blue School founder Matt Goldman said, "When my wife and I first began to look for schools for our own child, we were disheartened by the staleness and rigidity of the American education system. We understood that the fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic were essential, yet we also knew that creative interactive experiences were vital to engaging active and joyful learners. Our goal is to codify the approaches we are using in the New York City lab school and share them with educators across the nation and the globe."

Doors will open at 6 PM for the 6:30 PM performance. An after party will be held at the Bowery Hotel, located in Manhattan at 335 Bowery.

Astor Place Theatre is located at 434 Lafayette Street. For ticket information visit www.blueman.com/app/webroot/20-year-reunion.
