Tony winner Daveed Diggs went on The Today Show August 8 to talk about the upcoming film adaption of Wonder with author R.J. Palacio.

Wonder tells the story of August Pullman, a fifth grader with facial differences who attends a mainstream elementary school for the first time.

The Hamilton star plays a teacher in the upcoming film adaption and told Today: “It really is an incredible lesson in empathy.”
