This latest edition of Simply Barbra, subtitled "Barbra and Burnham," will play the San Francisco venue Sept. 1-5.
Steven Brinberg has performed his Streisand impersonation on stages in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Houston and the U.K. He recently completed a sold-out tour of the U.K. and the West End, following record-breaking runs at London's Playhouse and Jermyn Street theatres. Brinberg is the winner of the MAC Award and the Bistro Award for his Simply Barbra performances. He also appeared in the workshops of Ken Page's musical Nightlife and can be heard on "Simply Barbra Duets."
Brinberg will also be seen Sept. 10-12 at Show at Barre Vermont in Los Angeles.
For his performance in the national tour of The Light in the Piazza, David Burnham received the 2007 Helen Hayes Award for Best Actor and the 2007 Garland Award; he also appeared in the Broadway staging of that Adam Guettel musical. Burnham starred in the title role of the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and in the national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. He created the role of Fiyero in the pre-Broadway workshops of Wicked and later played that role on Broadway; his other theatrical credits include productions of Tom Jones, Letters from 'Nam, Peggy Sue Got Married, Godspell, Children of Eden, Woman in Black, Assassins and Pirates of Penzance. Burnham also appeared in the Actors Fund benefit concert of On the 20th Century.
