Broadway News David Josefsberg Temporarily Steps Into Broadway’s Waitress The actor will take on the role of Ogie while Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald sets sail on Playbill’s Broadway on the Danube.

Broadway alum David Josefsberg will step into Waitress at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre for a limited engagement, taking on the role of Ogie November 3–19 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

He takes over temporarily for Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald, who earned a Tony nomination for his performance as the obsessive Civil War reenactor. Fitzgerald, meanwhile, will set sail on Playbill Travel’s Broadway on the Danube River With Michael Feinstein November 3–13.

Josefsberg previously appeared on Broadway in An Act of God, Honeymoon in Vegas, Motown, The Wedding Singer, Les Misérables, and Grease.

The current company of the Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson musical includes Betsy Wolfe as Jenna, Eric Anderson as Cal, Maia Nkenge Wilson as Becky, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, Larry Marshall as Joe, and Will Swenson as Earl.

Also beginning November 3 is Grammy winner Jason Mraz, who replaces Drew Gehling as Dr. Pomatter.
