Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet voiced an animated and fictionalized version of himself in a brief cameo on the Jan. 23 episode of "The Simpsons."

Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, Speed-the-Plow, Race, A Life in the Theatre) is seen as the writer of "Thicker Than Waters," a cheesy 1980s family sitcom that Homer uses as inspiration in the raising of his kids.
