Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet sat down with Charlie Rose July 7 to discuss his current Broadway play, Race, and his latest book, “Theatre.”


Mamet’s plays include Oleanna, Speed-the-Plow, American Buffalo, November, Glengarry Glen Ross (Pulitzer), Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Boston Marriage, The Duck Variations, Edmond and The Cryptogram.

Screen work includes the TV series “The Unit” and the films “Heist,” “State and Main,” “The Winslow Boy,” “Wag the Dog,” “The Spanish Prisoner,” “The Untouchables” and “The Verdict.” Books include “Bambi vs. Godzilla: On the Nature, Purpose, and Practice of the Movie Business,” “The Wicked Son,” “Three Uses of the Knife” and “True and False: Heresy and Common Sense for the Actor.”
