Sanborn's album, a collection of pop tunes, jazz standards, and original compositions, features bassist Christian McBride, guitarist Russell Malone, keyboardist Larry Goldings, vibraphonist Mike Manieri, and drummer Steve Gadd.
Debuting at number 15 was Wynton Marsalis's score for the Ken Burns documentary Unforgiveable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson, which premiered on PBS this week. The CD includes 16 new compositions by Marsalis, the trumpeter and artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, as well as Marsalis's recordings of music by W.C. Handy and Jelly Roll Morton.
Saxophonist Joe Lavano's I'm All for You re-entered the chart at 19 after dropping off last week. Pianist and crooner Peter Cincotti's self-titled debut album returned at number 20; the album has now spent 85 weeks on the chart. Cincotti's most recent album, On the Moon, remained at number nine.
On the contemporary jazz chart, saxophonist Kenny G remained at number one with At Last... The Duets Album.
