Composer David Shire and actor-cabaret performer Steve Ross are two of the talents to be featured in "In Performance at the Kaufman," a new series of musical revues and theatrical to begin Off-Broadway this fall.

In the tradition of An Evening with Jerry Herman and Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's The Show Goes On, Shire -- the composer, along with Richard Maltby, Jr., of such shows as Baby and Big -- will perform in The Story Goes On...The Music of Maltby and Shire. Joining Shire on stage is actress and singer Loni Ackerman. Ray Roderick directs the evening, which will run Nov. 24-Dec. 13.

Steve Ross and actress Karen Murphy will star in L'Amour the Merrier, a new revue conceived by Ross which will feature tunes by Cole Porter, Cy Coleman, Carolyn Leigh, Frank Loesser, Stephen Sondheim, and Schmidt and Jones. Though primarily known as a cabaret performer, Ross has ventured on stage, most notably in the recent Broadway revival of Noel Coward's Present Laughter. L'Amour will run Nov. 3- 22.

All shows take place at the Kaufman Theatre on 534 West 42nd St. in Manhattan. For information, call (212) 246-8949.
