Davis Gaines fans, fret not. Though Whistle Down the Wind has been postponed, the Whistle and ex-Phantom, star has a series of concerts and special appearances lined up. One of which is the annual S.T.A.G.E (Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event) Benefit.

Gaines is scheduled to appear at the annual event on March 14 - 16 along with a host of over 40 artists including, among others, Tyne Daly, Sharon Gless, Joely Fisher, Joanna Gleason, Tim Curry and Harry Groener. This year, the focus will be on the music and lyrics of Cole Porter.

Funds raised from the 13th Annual S.T.A.G.E. event will go to benefit AIDS Service Center and Project Angel Food, two of Los Angeles' highest profile organizations serving those living with HIV and AIDS.

S.T.A.G.E's "Cole Porter: A Musical Toast" will take place at the Luckman Theatre (at Cal State Los Angeles), 5151 State University Drive in L.A. on March 14-16. Tickets are $30, $60, $100 and $150. For tickets, directions and parking information, call (818) 441-5002.

Those who call by February 21 (25 at the latest) can get special privileges if they mention "Jonathan Kanes Group." It seems Mr. Kane is one of the organizers of the event and agreed to give preferred seating (based on the seat section) to Gaines' fans. -- By Katia Lundy
