Presented by Jim Caruso's Cast Party, the evening of Alan's music is scheduled for April 12 at 7 PM at the famed jazz venue. Guest vocalists will include Darius de Haas (Rent), Bobby Steggert (Ragtime), Josh Lamon (Hair), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music), Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan), Grasan Kingsberry (Finian's Rainbow), Matt Doyle (Bye Bye Birdie), Michael Seelbach (Wicked), Jay A. Johnson (Hair), The Broadway Boys and Brandon Webman. Alan, who will accompany the performers at the piano, will also perform some of his own material. Cabaretgoers can expect to hear tunes from Alan's recordings "Dreaming Wide Awake" and "Keys" as well as songs from his upcoming recording, "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up."

Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, which was seen in Los Angeles. His current theatre projects include Piece, which was featured at the 2003 Palo Alto TheatreWorks festival, the 2005 NAMT festival and the 2007 Festival of New Musicals at Village Theatre; and the song cycle The Warmth of the Womb. He also produces the monthly Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex. Alan's music is available on his website, scottalan.net, and at iTunes.
