When it closes, the production will have played 27 previews and 44 regular performances.

In a statement producer Jeffrey Finn said, “I am extremely proud of this production and the cast. Theresa Rebeck and Jack O’Brien have created an inspiring and hilarious new play and we are all sad to see Dead Accounts end on Broadway. I look forward to working with this remarkably talented cast and creative team again very soon.”

The family drama began previews Nov. 5 and officially opened Nov. 29. Jack O'Brien directed a cast that also includes Judy Greer, Josh Hamilton and two-time Tony Award nominee Jayne Houdyshell.

In Dead Accounts, according to press notes, "Jack’s (Butz) unexpected return throws his family into a frenzy, and his sister Lorna (Holmes) needs answers. Is he coming home or running away? Where is his wife (Greer) everyone hates? And how did he get all that money? Theresa Rebeck’s new comedy tackles the timely issues of corporate greed, small town values, and whether or not your family will always welcome you back…with no questions asked."

The creative team features five-time Tony nominee David Rockwell (scenic design), five-time Tony winner Catherine Zuber (costume design), David Weiner (lighting design), Mark Bennett (sound design, original music) and Tom Watson (hair design).

The play is produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Finn, John N. Hart Jr., David Mirvish, Amy Nauiokas, Ergo Entertainment, Harriet Newman Leve, Double Gemini Productions, 3toGo Entertainment, and The Shubert Organization.
