Ben Platt, who stars in the title role of the acclaimed new Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, will join in this year’s BroadwayCon festivities. He will take part in the show’s January 29 MainStage panel.
As previously announced, the panel will feature writers Benj Pasek and Steven Levenson, director Michael Greif, and cast members Will Roland, Laura Dreyfuss, Kristolyn Lloyd, Michael Park, Mike Faist, Rachel Bay Jones, and Jennifer Laura Thompson.
The pop-driven musical, which stars Platt as a young man struggling for identity amid the chaos of high school, opened on Broadway December 4, 2016, at the Music Box Theatre.
BroadwayCon has also announced a 25 percent student discount offer for individuals with a valid student ID. The discount applies to general weekend passes and single-day passes for the three-day event that runs January 27-29 at the Javits Center in New York.
