Industry News Deborah Cox and Brandon Victor Dixon Will Perform at U.S. Open Finals Both artists will offer a rendition of “America the Beautiful.”

Singer-songwriter Deborah Cox (Jekyll & Hyde, Aida) and Tony-nominated actor Brandon Victor Dixon (The Color Purple, Hamilton, Jesus Christ Superstar Live!) will perform “America the Beautiful” prior to, respectively, the women and men’s U.S. Open Finals on September 8 and 9.

Cox will also perform “I’m Every Woman,” and Dixon will sing “We Are the Champions” as a celebration of the female and male champions of the past 50 years of the U.S. Open in Flushing, New York.

During both ceremonies, The Colors will be presented by the United States Marine Corps, 6th Communications Battalion, Brooklyn, New York, for the 19th consecutive year. Cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point will unfurl a giant American flag across the court. During the Men’s Final, a flyover of four F-15E Strike Eagles from the 334th Fighter Squadron, Seymour Johnson Air Base in North Carolina is set to take place.

Six-time U.S. Open Singles Champion Chris Evert will participate in the Trophy Presentation Ceremony for the Women’s Final, and four-time U.S. Open Singles Champion John McEnroe will participate in the Trophy Presentation Ceremony for the Men’s Final.

Dixon is also a Tony-winning producer for Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
