Some of the most prominent women in the American theatre will participate in a benefit reading of Clare Boothe Luce's The Women, July 17 at 8 PM. The event is on behalf of the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative of The Actors' Fund of America. Newman herself will be among the actresses reading. Also scheduled to appear are Lea DeLaria, Bebe Neuwirth, Sandy Duncan, Karen Ziemba and Donna Murphy. No word on the specific casting of roles.
