A Tony Award nominee for The Green Bird, Smith will portray Gustav, with Davis as Edgar and Robins as Alice. As previously reported, Tony Award nominee Mike Poulton (Fortune's Fool) penned the adaptation that will be directed by Tony Award winner Joseph Hardy (Child's Play). Dance of Death will officially open April 18 for a limited run through May 4.

According to Red Bull, "On an isolated island, military captain Edgar, and his wife, a former actress, Alice, approach the 25th anniversary of a marriage turned deeply sour. When a jolt from the past arrives in the shape of their younger cousin Gustav, a deadly battle of wills begins. And Edgar is prepared to fight to his very last breath… Strindberg's viciously witty vivisection of a diabolic union blazed the trail for searing modern portraits of marriage like Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Red Bull Theater brings Strindberg's masterpiece back to life in a savagely comic and bracingly intimate production..."

Dance of Death will have set design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Alejo Vietti and sound design by Brandon Wolcott.

Davis is a Tony Award nominee for Wrong Mountain. He also appeared on Broadway in La Cage aux Folles, The Invention of Love and The Frogs. He is well-known for his work on "The Nanny."

Robins appeared on Broadway in Heartbreak House, Frozen, The Herbal Bed and The Real Thing, as well as the recent Off-Broadway revival of The Lady from Dubuque. She has also appeared in Richard Nelson's acclaimed Apple Family plays, including Sweet and Sad, That Hopey Changey Thing and Sorry.
