News   Designers for NYC Bow of Albee's Me, Myself & I Announced by Playwrights Horizons

The design team for the New York City premiere of Edward Albee's Me, Myself & I will include scenic designer Thomas Lynch, costume designer Jennifer von Mayrhauser, lighting designer Kenneth Posner and sound designer Darron L. West.

Previews begin at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theatre (416 W. 42nd Street) on Aug. 24. Opening night is Sept. 12. Tickets for the limited engagement are now on sale through Oct. 10.

Rehearsals are now underway. The new play by the three-time Pulitzer Prize and three-time Tony Award winner (A Delicate Balance; Seascape; Three Tall Women; Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; The Goat or, Who Is Sylvia?) is directed by Emily Mann. The production opens PH's 40th anniversary season.

As previously announced, the cast of the New York premiere will feature Tony Award winner Elizabeth Ashley (Take Her, She's Mine; Barefoot in the Park; Dividing the Estate), Zachary Booth (Prayer for My Enemy at PH, "Damages," "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist"), three-time Tony Award nominee Brian Murray (The Crucible, The Little Foxes and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead; Obie Award for Albee's The Play About the Baby), Natalia Payne (New Jerusalem at CSC, Jailbait at the Cherry Lane), Stephen Payne (Superior Donuts and August: Osage County on Broadway; Me, Myself & I at the McCarter) and Preston Sadleir (Off-Broadway debut). Murray will reprise his performance from the McCarter production, as will Payne. Production stage manager is Alison Cote.

According to PH, "In Edward Albee's Me, Myself & I, Mother (Ashley) can't tell her identical twins apart. But when Otto (Booth) announces his brother (Sadleir) doesn't exist, the household descends into chaos."

Single tickets, at $75 each, may be purchased online via www.TicketCentral.com or www.PlaywrightsHorizons.org, by phone at (212) 279-4200 (Noon-8 PM daily), or in person at the Ticket Central Box Office, 416 West 42nd Street (between Ninth & Tenth Avenues).
